Sophomore English Class is a survey course of literature written by American authors. Emphasis will be placed on recognizing distinct movements in literature that reflect the historical currents of American life.
Sophomore students will also be introduced to research paper writing for the first time at Shawnee. The research paper will be assigned during the 3rd marking period and will comprise a significant majority of students’ 3rd marking period grades.
