Reading Workshop

Every marking period you are required to read a book outside of school. You will have the opportunity to select the book you read, with a few basic restrictions. First, the book must be challenging. The book should be considered normal adult level reading, not a "young adult" title. Second, the book must not appear on the curriculum of any Shawnee English course. Obviously, I don't want you to have to read something that you'll simply have to re-read later. You'll be required to bring your books in toward the beginning of each marking period. If you're not sure whether or not a book will be acceptable, simply ask before bringing it in.
